Why should I support NGS?
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, The No Greater Sacrifice Foundation's is focused solely on providing scholarships to the children of our nation's men and women who have fallen in the line of duty. In doing so, NGS funds support all branches of the US armed forces.
Who founded NGS?
NGS was founded by a group of patriotic friends and colleagues across the worlds of finance, law, media, and government. Some of them are military veterans, while others are patriotic civilians who wanted to honor those who have served. To learn more about the NGS leadership, click here.
Has NGS been successful in informing the community at large about its mission?
Yes. In addition to holding several successful events, NGS has received media coverage and continues to receive numerous additions to our mailing list daily. Why is it a good idea to donate to NGS as opposed to donating directly to the organizations NGS funds?
NGS provides zero-cost incremental funding to existing charities, minimizing their fundraising efforts and maximizing funds to support recipients. Furthermore, by donating to NGS you can rest assured that your support is going toward educating the children of fallen service members.
Does NGS have a physical office?
As an all-volunteer organization, NGS does not maintain a physical office. Instead, it is incorporated as a 501c3 not-for-profit in Washington, DC.

Are my donations to NGS tax deductible?
The No Greateer Sacrifice Foundation is organized and operated for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as being exempt from federal income taxation. Contributions are generally deductible for federal tax purposes. Individual taxpayers are encouraged to consult their tax advisory regarding the deductibility of any donation.

Disbursement Information
How many children does NGS’ current funding model plan to support?
Approximately 3,500 solders have been killed in action to date in the ongoing conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the broader war on terrorism. NGS estimates approximately 1.2 children per service member on average, or 4,200 children to educate to date.
How much money is needed to fully fund the education of the children of fallen soldiers?
Assuming 4,200 children, NGS estimates approximately $80mm would need to be raised to provide a fully-funded four year college education. NGS is fine tuning this funding requirement and will adjust its target fundraising goal as appropriate.
How is funding disbursed to fulfill the NGS mission?
NGS is organized along the lines of a “fund of funds”. NGS provides zero-cost incremental funding to best-in-class charities on the ground, minimizing their fundraising efforts and maximizing funds to support recipients. This model enables us to utilize these charities’ existing infrastructure to serve our ultimate mission: educating the children of fallen soldiers.
Who qualifies to receive funding?
NGS seeks to support the children of those who have fallen in the War on Terror. Generally speaking, the "children" NGS supports are under the
age of eighteen when at least one of their parents dies during a
military defined combat death. As NGS funding is currently disbursed to recipients
through its affiliated charities, additional restrictions and/or
qualifications may apply.
How can I apply for an NGS disbursement of funds?
In order to minimize overhead and maximize the impact of the donations NGS has received to date, NGS will work toward fulfilling our mission by channeling funds to our supported affiliates until the threshold of sustainable support is met. Rest assured, NGS understands and empathizes with the importance of your situation and is working diligently to raise the entirety of the funds required to succeed in our mission. Are there minimum requirements (e.g.: grade thresholds) that students must meet to retain funding?
Student's must maintain remain in good academic standing to continue to receive funding.
